Yash’s Monster Mind to distribute Ramayana in Karnataka

Monster Mind Creations launches a distribution wing and will handle the Karnataka theatrical release of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, opening November 5, 2026.

Yash's Monster Mind takes Karnataka distribution of Ramayana

Monster Mind Creations is moving from production into theatrical distribution, and its first assignment is one of the most anticipated Indian films on the calendar. Yash’s banner has launched a dedicated distribution wing that will handle the Karnataka release of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, giving the actor a third role in the project: he is already a co-producer and plays Ravana.

How the territories line up

The Karnataka plan is part of a larger, territory-by-territory release strategy. The current map looks like this:

  • Karnataka: Monster Mind Creations
  • Hindi-speaking markets in North India: Dharma Productions
  • International: Sony Pictures
  • Andhra Pradesh and Telangana: Dil Raju
  • Tamil Nadu: Think Studios
  • Kerala: E4 Entertainment (Mukesh Mehta)

Monster Mind’s Karnataka assignment puts Yash’s own company at the centre of the release in a state where the actor has a substantial following. That local pull could matter in shaping screen count, marketing and the opening-day push.

The epic, assembled

Ramayana is being mounted as a two-part adaptation of the Indian epic. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, Sunny Deol plays Lord Hanuman and Yash plays Ravana. The ensemble pulls prominent actors from different film industries into one large-scale production.

Jointly produced by Prime Focus Studios and Monster Mind Creations, the film is positioned as a theatrical experience built on visual effects and production design. Ramayana: Part 1 is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 5, 2026, across multiple languages and premium large formats.

For fans, the Karnataka announcement is a signal that the film’s release machinery is being locked region by region. With major territories now assigned, the focus can shift to promotional momentum and the countdown to the opening.
