Tiger Shroff and Nushrratt Bharuccha’s next film is not facing a delay because of her spinal surgery after the Bali accident, producer Vicky Jain has said. The clarification matters because a lead actor’s injury often sparks talk of reshoots, schedule slips and release risk. Here, the production calendar tells a simpler story.
Two songs left, and Nushrratt’s part is complete
Jain told Hindustan Times that most of the shoot was finished in August and September. Nushrratt had completed her role before the accident, and the unit is now left with two songs. “We just wish her a speedy recovery,” he said, adding that the team plans to wait for her to recover so she can join promotions.
- Shoot: nearly complete, with two songs pending
- Nushrratt: her portions are already done
- Filming: mostly finished in August and September
- Release: planned for 2027
Waiting for a star to recover before promotions also keeps the film’s visibility intact. Promotions built around an incomplete leading pair can dilute a first look, a song launch or a trailer window; instead, the team can now line up all of that around one clear schedule.
Why the release is moving to 2027
The wait has two practical reasons. Nushrratt’s health is the first: because her acting work is complete, the team can wait for her to be promotion-ready instead of rushing her back to set. The second is Remo Dsouza’s diary. Jain said the director is busy with his other film, Any Body Can Dream, and the pending songs will be completed once he has time.
That sequencing also means the injury does not force any rethink of the edit or the finish. With most footage already in hand, the delay is effectively a finish-line queue rather than a start-over.
The film also stars Abhishek Banerjee and gives social media personality Elvish Yadav his film debut. For audiences, that makes the project one to track for its cast mix and the two remaining songs rather than for any production reset.
The payment chatter, addressed on record
Jain, a first-time producer, also responded to buzz about artistes complaining that dues had not been paid on time by his production partners. He said there had been some confusion about the payment schedule, but “everyone’s dues have been cleared.” He added that actor Ankita Lokhande, his wife, has been a strong support and that he is focusing on giving the film its best release.
For a first-time producer, this update works on two fronts: it shows the project was planned tightly enough that a lead actor’s medical emergency did not stall it, and it meets trade chatter on payments with a clear on-record response. No exact release date has been offered, so the next checkpoint for fans is likely the two songs and the promotional window when Nushrratt returns.
