Tiger Shroff firing: 3 held in Kota in 15 hours

All three suspects in Sunday's shooting at Tiger Shroff's BMW have been arrested within about 15 hours, with a Rajasthan Police team holding them aboard a train in Kota.

3 held in Tiger Shroff firing within 15 hours

All three suspected shooters in the attack on Tiger Shroff have been arrested in Kota, Rajasthan, within about 15 hours of Sunday evening’s firing, according to an ANI report. Kota SP Tejaswani Gautam confirmed that a city police team held the trio aboard a train.

The actor was returning from a football session when several rounds were fired at his BMW in Mumbai. He escaped without gunshot injuries. His driver and an autorickshaw driver were hurt, reports said. After the firing, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly claimed responsibility for the attack.

How the chase unfolded

Mumbai Police have described the escape route: the suspects left on a motorcycle, passed Mithibai College, took SV Road towards Andheri railway station and then split up. The arrests, however, came far from Mumbai.

A Rajasthan Police team located the three suspects on a train and took them into custody in Kota. The timeline is the strongest detail of the update: the arrests came within roughly 15 hours, well inside the 24-hour window first reported after the incident.

Who the accused are

Police have named three people in the case:

  • A 17-year-old from Sonepat, Haryana, who reportedly worked as a potter.
  • Hrithik Kumar, alias Roshan, 22, from Begusarai, Bihar, who lives in Andheri West, Mumbai, and worked as a Rapido bike rider.
  • Rehan, 18, also from Sonepat.

Why this matters for Bollywood

An attack on a sitting star, even one that does not injure the actor, resets the security conversation across the Hindi film industry. The speed of the arrests across state lines is the news here: it closed the most urgent question before speculation could widen into panic.

The reported details of the accused are a reminder that such cases often involve young men with ordinary jobs. A 17-year-old potter, a 22-year-old bike rider and an 18-year-old are now at the centre of a high-profile investigation.

What is not yet clear is the larger chain behind the firing. The legal process can now move from a manhunt to questioning three people in custody, and the focus will shift to what happened before the trigger and who gave the orders.
