Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s Ramayana has given fans a Karwa Chauth surprise with Judi Jodi, a wedding-set song that frames the bond between Lord Rama and Goddess Sita as both tender and divine.
The track went live on the official YouTube channels of World of Ramayana and T-Series and is streaming across platforms. The makers shared a poster on social media with the line: “Celebrate this Karwa Chauth with a love that is eternal and a bond that is divine.”
Why the Karwa Chauth timing works
Karwa Chauth is built around married devotion, so the date gives the song an emotional setting it would not have had on a routine release day. In the film’s larger marketing, it positions Ram and Sita’s relationship as the heart of an epic that is usually sold on scale, action and spectacle.
The song is set against the backdrop of their wedding and plays up commitment, trust and companionship. For an audience that has grown up with the epic’s many retellings, that is the familiar note the campaign needed.
Five languages, one composition
Music comes from A. R. Rahman, with lyrics by Dr. Kumar Vishwas. The release has been built for India beyond Hindi, spanning:
- Hindi — Shreya Ghoshal
- Tamil — Heer
- Telugu — Sireesha Bhagavatula
- Malayalam — Amritha Suressh
- Kannada — Pooja Vaidyanath
Dr. Kumar Vishwas wrote the lyrics for all five versions, with regional adaptation by Karthik Netha, Rakendu Mouli, Vinayak Sasikumar and Karthik Saragur respectively. That localisation matters because Ramayana is not being treated as a Hindi film that happens to travel; it is being released as a pan-Indian event from the start.
The larger Ramayana rollout
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman alongside the two leads. Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios produces with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, and the plan is a two-part epic.
Part 1 is due worldwide on November 5, 2026, so Judi Jodi lands as a final cultural moment before the campaign shifts into opening-week mode. Fans can stream the song now and choose the version that speaks to them.
