4 Held in Tiger Shroff Firing: No Star Hit-List, Say Police

Police say four people held in the Tiger Shroff firing case were gun-runners; no other star came up in interrogation. Reports about a target list remain unverified.

Police: four held in Tiger Shroff firing were gun-runners only

Mumbai: Four people arrested after the October 18 firing on Tiger Shroff’s car were part of an alleged weapon-supply chain, not a wider conspiracy against Bollywood stars, a senior police officer has clarified.

The officer, Praveen Tripathi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), said the interrogation of the four accused has not produced any information about another actor being targeted.

What the police actually said

“Nothing of that sort emerged during our interrogation, as these individuals were merely part of the weapon supply network. Their knowledge was limited strictly to where to procure the weapons and where to deliver them,” Tripathi told ANI.

His statement directly addresses reports that Salman Khan was the original target and that residences linked to Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar had been surveyed.

The alleged supply chain

Police said the four accused were linked to the firearms supply network. They allegedly procured weapons, moved them to Mumbai and delivered them as instructed.

  • Two women, Radha and Babita, allegedly carried the weapons to Mumbai.
  • They allegedly handed them over to a minor near a railway station.
  • Kunal allegedly travelled to Amritsar with Sumit on Anil Pandit’s instructions to collect the weapons.
  • Police say Kunal had recently left jail in another case and stayed in touch with Pandit through encrypted chats.
  • Police allege Kunal previously carried out a shooting in Panipat at Pandit’s behest.

Rumours versus evidence

Reports built on unnamed investigation sources have claimed that Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments home was first surveyed, but the plan shifted to Tiger Shroff because security was harder to beat. Other reports said the accused moved around Mumbai as visitors and surveyed spots linked to Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Tripathi’s clarification does not confirm or deny those claims. It only limits what these four accused are alleged to know. The wider probe into the attack is still open.

Why this matters for fans

For Bollywood followers, the real question is whether a star was chosen at random or deliberately hunted. Until investigators establish a motive, stories about a celebrity target list remain unverified. The safer habit is to rely on official police statements rather than anonymous source-based reports.
