Sony LIV has confirmed that its Hindi original Parivarik ManuRanjan will premiere exclusively on the platform on Friday, November 13, 2026. The film brings Pankaj Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari together on screen for the first time.
A festival-season family watch
Sony LIV is positioning the film as a light-hearted family entertainer that blends romance, comedy and the small frictions of everyday family life. Rather than relying on larger-than-life drama, the story is built around relatable characters and the humorous situations that come out of ordinary moments.
Pankaj Tripathi says the film’s strength lies in its simplicity and in characters whose warmth feels familiar. Aditi Rao Hydari describes the project as a heartfelt combination of romance, humour and family drama. She also had warm words for her co-star’s timing:
“His humour is so effortless, so natural, that it made every scene feel lighter and far more fun.”
The confirmation follows the film’s earlier promotional campaign, which introduced the same mix of romance, humour and family relationships that Sony LIV is now scheduling for the festive window.
Cast and crew
Varun V. Sharma directs the film. The story and screenplay are credited to Brijendra Kala, Ali Abbas Zafar and Varun V. Sharma, with dialogues by Brijendra Kala. Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Himanshu Kishan Mehta and Alicia Zafar produce, while Ali Abbas Zafar is the creative producer.
The watchlist details:
- Title: Parivarik ManuRanjan
- Cast: Pankaj Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari — their first on-screen pairing
- Director: Varun V. Sharma
- Writers: Brijendra Kala, Ali Abbas Zafar and Varun V. Sharma
- Premiere: Friday, November 13, 2026, exclusively on Sony LIV
Why the date matters
November 13 moves the film from Sony LIV’s upcoming releases list to its scheduled November 2026 premieres. Because Parivarik ManuRanjan is a platform original, the date is a home-viewing event rather than a theatrical announcement, and it lands in the festive season when family audiences are looking for a lighter watch.
The main draw is the pairing. Pankaj Tripathi has made a career of turning ordinary characters into memorable ones, while Aditi Rao Hydari brings a lighter romantic register. Seeing how that combination works inside a family comedy is the reason to keep the date on the list.
If you are planning a family movie night in November, this one can be added to your Sony LIV watchlist now, with streaming available from its premiere day.
