Param Veer has moved from an idea into an official title, with Vardhaan Puri confirmed as the lead. Producers Sumant Raturi (HVJ Media) and Sagar Gowda (Myradha Motion Pictures) revealed the title through a launch video that frames the project as a war drama built on real courage rather than scale alone.
The film takes its cue from the Battle of Gangasagar, a chapter the makers want younger audiences to know. Here is what the announcement confirms:
- Lead: Vardhaan Puri
- Producers: Sumant Raturi (HVJ Media) and Sagar Gowda (Myradha Motion Pictures)
- Inspiration: the Battle of Gangasagar and Indian Army stories
- Release date: not announced yet
A family archive becomes cinema
For Raturi, the starting point is personal. He said his father wrote and published four books on the Indian Army, collecting more than 45 stories of courage, quick thinking and sacrifice for a younger generation.
“I am carrying my family legacy forward, now using the medium of cinema.”
That line matters because it turns a personal duty into the film’s reason to exist. The makers are not pitching Param Veer as a straightforward action spectacle; they are presenting it as a bridge between written history and the big screen.
Why the announcement lands
Hindi war dramas often live or die on whether they begin with a real person or a real document. Here the source material is unusually direct: four published books kept by the producer’s family. That gives the title reveal a personal, heirloom-like weight instead of a generic announcement beat.
A battlefield, not a backdrop
The title is being treated literally. Raturi wants audiences to feel soldiers advance inch by inch, with the injuries, fear and death that objective carries. He also said such true stories should have reached cinemas earlier, and he hopes Param Veer pushes other storytellers to find and tell more of them.
For now, the next step for fans is to watch the title reveal video and follow the film’s official channels for casting, shoot and release updates. Until a date is locked, this is the clearest signal of how the team plans to position the film.
