If your OTT watchlist has felt thin after the festive releases, the 24–30 October lineup adds fresh reasons to open the apps. This week is led by Bigg Boss 20 with Salman Khan, a clutch of regional Bigg Boss seasons, and several new Indian originals. But the number many streamers will notice is ₹200—the price of Vi’s new add-on that unlocks 20 OTT platforms.
The week’s notable titles
For Bollywood watchers, the obvious draw is Bigg Boss 20. Salman Khan returns as host for a season built on high drama and surprises. Vi’s list also includes Bigg Boss Bangla with Sourav Ganguly, Tamil with Vijay Sethupathi, Malayalam with Mohanlal, Kannada with Kichcha Sudeep, and Telugu with Nagarjuna.
Among the original titles, keep an eye on:
- Akka — matriarch Bhavani fights a rebel named Rudra for her land and legacy.
- Meethe Mein Kya Hai — a young widower’s Diwali reunion spirals after his sister announces a surprise wedding.
- Drive: The Pretenders — a race mechanic fakes an engagement with a scandalous racing star.
- Obsession — a romantic discovers his dream comes with a dark cost.
- Love Always — a second-chance romance about opening up again.
The sports side stays busy too: WWE streams live on Netflix in India, the Premier League and Champions League return, and the MG Indian Super League is available on Sony Sports and SonyLIV.
Why the ₹200 add-on matters
Streaming costs add up quickly when Bigg Boss, a film premiere and a live match sit on different services. Vi’s new ₹200 Movies and TV App Add-On Pack is an attempt to collapse that decision. It includes a JioHotstar Mobile subscription, 19 other OTT platforms through the Vi Movies and TV App, and 30GB of data with 28-day validity. In Vi 5G coverage areas, compatible devices get unlimited 5G for non-commercial use.
That is the real story for fans: the entry price of a legitimate OTT bundle is now close to the cost of one premium subscription. The trade-off is that you must check which services and which tiers are actually included. A pack with 20 apps may still not replace every ad-free or 4K plan you use.
What to do before you renew
If you pay for two or three streaming apps, do a quick comparison before the next billing date. List the one or two shows you actually watch, then see whether they are inside the Vi app catalogue or the JioHotstar Mobile subscription. If they are, the bundle is cheaper; if not, it is just another line item.
For this week, start with Bigg Boss 20 and the Indian originals, then check the sports schedule. WWE on Netflix and the ISL on SonyLIV mean the weekend can work across two apps.
