Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia has quietly begun work on a new project in Gujarat, adding an undisclosed title to a slate that is still taking shape.
What we know so far
Sources say the actor travelled to Gujarat in mid-October to start the shoot. The title, director and cast have not been announced, but Nimrit shared a photograph of her script from a gurdwara and thanked Waheguru for the opportunity.
- She is already on location in Gujarat.
- The project is not yet named.
- Her last release was Ab Hoga Hisaab.
Why the new role matters
“The opportunity to explore a completely new character and step into a genre I haven’t explored before,” she said. She added that she wants to challenge herself and push her boundaries, and that she is looking forward to bringing the character to life.
That is the real signal for fans: this is not a repeat of familiar ground. An actor moving into an untried genre often uses a smaller, quieter project to reset how the industry and audience see her.
What comes next
An official announcement is still awaited. Alongside this Gujarat schedule, the actor has announced work with Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Jimmy Sheirgill, and another film whose details are yet to be revealed.
For now, the script photograph and her comments are the only window into the project.
