Ravi Kishan’s next outing will put devotion in a different frame. Mahaveer Jain Films announced on 27 October 2026 that the actor will headline Mera Yaar Bajrangi – Dosti Ho Toh Aisi, a devotional drama built around the friendship between a common man and Bajrang Bali. The theatrical release is set for Diwali 2027.
The announcement
Writer-director Amit Aarryan is helming the film, with Mahaveer Jain Films producing alongside RatPack Stories. The title and poster were revealed together, and the poster does a lot of the explaining: it shows a human hand and a divine hand meeting in a fist bump.
One hand carries rudraksha and raksha sutra, while the other is marked with symbols of Bajrang Bali. A spark between them visualises the bond the film wants to sell. The tagline, Dosti Ho Toh Aisi, frames devotion not as worship alone but as personal connection.
A different devotional pitch
Conventional devotional films often lean heavily on ritual and miracle. Mera Yaar Bajrangi tries a warmer route: the god is not only a protector but also a friend you can laugh with and lean on. That makes the subject feel closer to an everyday family story than a strictly religious one, which is likely why the makers describe it as an accessible family entertainer.
What Ravi Kishan brings
Ravi Kishan plays a devoted common man who treats Bajrang Bali less as a distant supreme power and more as his closest friend. Makers say the character will move through devotion, emotion and humour.
The role adds another shade to a versatile filmography. Ravi Kishan won praise in Laapataa Ladies and found a different screen identity with Mirzapur; here, he gets a family-facing devotional space.
Why Diwali 2027 matters
Diwali is one of Hindi cinema’s biggest family release windows. A film about spirituality and friendship can aim directly at audiences who go to the movies together during the festival.
The banner is treating this as another concept-driven title. Mahaveer Jain Films has already announced projects such as Naagzilla and RamBola, and this one follows the same pattern: a clear central idea first, details later.
What is still open
- No exact Diwali 2027 calendar date yet.
- Supporting cast, music composer and technical crew are yet to be announced.
- No teaser, trailer or song launch date has been confirmed.
For now, the title and poster set the premise. Watch for a teaser or first look as the next piece of the campaign.
