Kareena Kapoor Khan has returned with the first trailer for What Women Want season six, and the preview promises a season that moves between celebrity conversations, relationships and the debates women still find themselves pulled into.
The season six guest list
The trailer sketches a guest line-up that includes make-up artist Mickey Contractor, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Neetu Kapoor, Bhavna Pandey and Maheep Kapoor. But two guests stand out: Mira Rajput and Kriti Sanon.
- Mira Rajput makes her first formal on-camera appearance with Kareena.
- Kriti Sanon revisits the backlash over the GIVA Raksha Bandhan campaign.
- The season pairs film and family names with conversations about public scrutiny.
Mira Rajput’s on-camera conversation with Kareena
Mira Rajput, Shahid Kapoor’s wife, sits down with Kareena for what the trailer frames as her first formal on-camera interaction with the host. Kareena tells her, “I think everyone is excited about this.”
The pairing had already been teased on Instagram. Kareena posted a picture with Mira from the set and called her “the absolutely warm and lovely Mira on the show today.” Mira later reshared the post and thanked her, and also shared more pictures from the day.
Kriti Sanon and the choli that became a news debate
Kriti’s segment returns to the GIVA Raksha Bandhan advertisement. The campaign showed her in an Indo-Western outfit tying a rakhi to her brother and her pet dog. Some viewers took issue with what she wore, and the conversation escalated far beyond the advertisement itself.
In the trailer, Kriti recalls being stunned when the outfit became a television talking point. She says she could not believe her choli had turned into a “6 people panel discussion on prime-time news.” Kareena’s response is simple: “I know.”
When the backlash first erupted, Kriti had responded by questioning the framing rather than defending the outfit. She argued that ethnic fashion has evolved and that a woman’s respect for culture should not be measured by her clothes. As she put it, “Culture and traditions are in her heart, not in her neckline.”
The trailer suggests the new season will sit with that tension: celebrity small talk on one side, and the bigger question of who gets to police women’s choices on the other.
Meanwhile, Kareena’s acting slate continues with the investigative drama Daayra, where she and Prithviraj Sukumaran play cops facing off while navigating the complex world of juvenile crime.
