Fans waiting to stream Hanuman Ansh will have to wait longer. After 60 days in cinemas, the devotional biopic still has no official OTT platform or release date, even though many Hindi films make their digital debut after an eight-week theatrical window.
The reason is simple: the film is still pulling audiences, and the makers want to keep it in theatres as long as possible. A Telugu-dubbed version is set to enter cinemas next, adding another theatrical phase before any streaming announcement.
A day-60 total that still surprises
On day 60, Hanuman Ansh collected ₹75 lakh from 1,475 shows across India, with overall occupancy of 19%, according to Sacnilk. That Monday number was lower than Sunday’s ₹3 crore, but it came after ₹2.10 crore on Saturday and ₹2.25 crore on Friday.
- India net after 60 days: ₹325.48 crore
- India gross: ₹384.44 crore
- Worldwide gross: ₹424.24 crore
- Reported production budget: under ₹2 crore
Why the budget detail matters
That reported budget is the headline behind the headline: Hanuman Ansh has turned less than ₹2 crore into a worldwide gross of ₹424.24 crore. The gap between cost and theatrical earnings is why the movie is considered one of the year’s biggest commercial successes.
The film has managed this while facing screen pressure from Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3, which has taken a sizeable number of shows. Its eighth Saturday brought ₹2.10 crore from 1,339 screens, compared with ₹2.25 crore from 1,166 screens on its eighth Friday, so the devotional drama is holding its own even with fewer screens.
A window that bends for a hit
Most Hindi films hold back OTT dates only when a movie is still earning. Hanuman Ansh shows that a small-budget devotional film can extend its theatrical window beyond the standard eight weeks if ticket sales justify it. For now, that means patience for streaming viewers.
The next box-office milestone
Hanuman Ansh is now around ₹20 crore short of overtaking Border 2 to become the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 2026 by domestic net collection. Border 2 ended at a reported ₹341.70 crore India net.
The top spot is far ahead: Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, has collected ₹1,108.90 crore net in India. So the realistic target for Hanuman Ansh is that number-two position.
The film stars Shobhinav Satyaa alongside Chandan Anand, Nikhil Dubey, Udaysinh Rajput and Purnima Tiwari. It is written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, and produced by Swambhu Media Network Pvt. Ltd., Ragini S., Namrata G. S., Vishal Chaturvedi and Anupriya A. Nagar.
