The trailer for Ganesh Dust To Stardust has turned into a Bollywood moment. Choreographer Ganesh Acharya’s directorial debut is getting a push from some of the industry’s biggest names, days after the trailer went live and well ahead of its December 11, 2026 theatrical release.
For fans, this is not just another launch. It is the rare occasion when the person behind the camera—and behind many of Hindi cinema’s most loved dance steps—steps forward with his own story.
Akshay Kumar leads the cheers
Akshay Kumar, one of Acharya’s longest collaborators, placed the film in personal terms. He wrote that their association goes back to Acharya’s first song as a choreographer. “I still remember, as a choreographer, his very first song was with me,” Kumar shared, adding that it makes him happy and proud to see how far Acharya has come.
Kumar also connected the title to Acharya’s arc, describing it as a story of a small beginning turning into a larger success—and stressed that it is Acharya’s own story.
From Kriti to Ranveer, the praise spread fast
Kriti Sanon, who has danced to Acharya’s choreography on tracks such as Whistle Baja and Param Sundari, called the trailer “mind blowing.” Vicky Kaushal wrote that Acharya’s story “has truly been dust to stardust,” and said working with him has often been inspiring. Varun Dhawan added that the journey is “so beautifully told.”
The support was not limited to a few names. Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonam Bajwa, Tamannaah Bhatia, Parineeti Chopra, Geeta Kapur, Munawar Faruqui, Mouni Roy, Mrunal Thakur, Suniel Shetty, Johnny Lever, Maniesh Paul, Prabhu Deva, Sonu Sood, Jamie Lever, Avneet Kaur, Rohit Saraf, Vidya Balan, Krushna Abhishek and Tushar Shetty all amplified the trailer. Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt were also among those who shared it.

A personal story, not just a film
Ganesh Dust To Stardust is built around themes of ambition, perseverance and overcoming challenges. That tracks with the real arc of Acharya, who has spent decades as a choreographer before taking on direction.
With the trailer now out and a release date locked, the next milestone is the audience’s turn: whether the film’s underdog story can bring the same energy to the box office that its trailer has drawn from the industry.
