Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 has crossed ₹309.50 crore net in India within 10 days of release, becoming the biggest box-office success of the actor’s career.
As per Sacnilk, the film added ₹23 crore on day ten, taking its all-India net total to ₹309.50 crore and past the ₹300 crore milestone.
The path to ₹309.50 crore
The final chapter opened with unusual force. Advance bookings opened on September 27 and collected ₹27 crore before release. On its first day, Drishyam 3 earned ₹66.75 crore net across India — the third biggest opening for a Hindi film ever and the biggest opening of Ajay Devgn’s career.
Saturday added ₹53.50 crore and Sunday brought ₹61 crore. The expected weekday dip followed:
- Monday: ₹21 crore, roughly 65.6% lower than Sunday
- Tuesday: ₹19.50 crore
- Wednesday: ₹15.50 crore
The first week closed at ₹245.50 crore. After a softer patch, the film strengthened again on its second Saturday with ₹26.50 crore, before the latest reported figure of ₹23 crore on day ten.
Why this record matters
At ₹309.50 crore, Drishyam 3 has overtaken the lifetime collections of Drishyam 2 and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior to become Ajay Devgn’s highest-grossing release. That is a meaningful career landmark, all the more notable because the Hindi Drishyam story began in 2015 as a remake of the Malayalam original.
The second-weekend hold also stands out. Franchise finales often front-load their demand, but a bounce after the sharp Monday drop suggests repeat viewing and word of mouth are pushing the film beyond its opening burst.
The team behind the finale
Ajay Devgn leads as Vijay Salgaonkar alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant, with Saurabh Shukla in a cameo. Abhishek Pathak directs and co-writes with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, while Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios produce.
The franchise has grown steadily: the 2015 original collected around ₹110 crore worldwide, and Drishyam 2 went on to gross nearly ₹342 crore worldwide. Now the third film has crossed ₹309.50 crore net in India alone within ten days, a new high for the series and its leading man.
