Drishyam The Conclusion is showing why a strong franchise finale is still a theatrical event. After an ₹62 crore opening on 2 October, the Ajay Devgn and Tabu-led mystery slowed during its first week. Its second Saturday, however, is bringing audiences back.
By 8:45 PM on Day 9, the film had collected roughly ₹20.85 crore across 13,013 shows, according to Sacnilk. That lifts its India net total to ₹280.85 crore and its India gross total to ₹336.60 crore.
Second Friday to second Saturday
The jump is significant because Day 8, the second Friday, had already improved by 11.5% to settle at ₹14.50 crore net. Saturday’s early collection has crossed that figure with a chunk of evening shows still to play out. Occupancy tells a similar story: 14.92% in the morning, 32.46% in the afternoon, and 40.23% in the evening.
- Day 9 early estimate: about ₹20.85 crore by 8:45 PM
- India net total: ₹280.85 crore
- India gross total: ₹336.60 crore
- Second Friday: ₹14.50 crore net
The first eight days had already given the film ₹260 crore India net and ₹312 crore India gross. In other words, Saturday is adding to a base built during a very strong opening week rather than rescuing a shaky one.
Why the hold matters
A second-weekend rise is an early indicator of word of mouth. Drishyam The Conclusion, directed by Abhishek Pathak, wraps up the long-running question around Sam’s murder and brings back Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav, alongside new additions Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. The film’s direct fan base is showing up again, which is exactly what a final chapter needs.
The final Day 9 total will set up Sunday’s push. If the film holds its evening momentum, it will be within touching distance of the ₹300 crore India net milestone. For the Hindi film industry, that would be another data point that beloved characters still drive footfall.
