Darshan Raval has opened the first chapter of his new musical world. ‘Naal Naal Ve’, his latest single with Barkha Singh, is now streaming as the opening song of the four-track EP ‘The Everafter’.
Co-sung by Suvarna Tiwari and released by Warner Music India, the track leans into Raval’s signature romantic style while adding a puzzle for fans to follow.
The story behind the blue door
The music video follows Dan, a struggling musician, and Niyati. Dan discovers a mysterious blue door in his new apartment and steps through it with his dog Brutus. On the other side, he finds a magical world and a romance with Niyati that feels almost too perfect to belong to everyday reality. But when the door opens again and Brutus returns, Dan faces a choice between the world he has come to love and the reality he left behind.
More than one song
Raval describes the track as a hopeful romantic song about finding the person you love and wishing you could bring them into your world. He adds that the world of ‘The Everafter’ “can be happy, magical and sometimes heartbreaking.”
The video is built to be rewatched. It hides Easter eggs and ends with a connection to the next song from the EP, ‘Sirf Tum’, while the larger story stays open. Unlike a soundtrack single made to promote a film, an EP built around a door and a recurring dog lets the music live in its own visual universe.
Here is what fans should know:
- The song: ‘Naal Naal Ve’, co-sung by Suvarna Tiwari.
- The cast: Barkha Singh plays Niyati; the dog Brutus/Coco shares the spotlight.
- The hook: A blue door lets Dan move between realities.
- The plan: Chapter one of four, with ‘Sirf Tum’ next.
Why it matters
For Hindi music fans, the release shows how pop singles are borrowing from streaming-era storytelling. A connected EP gives Raval’s devoted audience, which Barkha Singh called the “Blue Family”, a reason to return beyond one song. The Warner Music India release also gives the project wider reach across major platforms.
What happens next
The only confirmed next step is ‘Sirf Tum’. The remaining chapters of the four-track EP are still to be revealed, and the larger story remains open. If the first video is any guide, each chapter will carry its own clues for viewers to decode.
‘Naal Naal Ve’ is available now on major audio and video streaming platforms. If you watch closely, the blue door is hiding more than it reveals.
