Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has reached the stage where a box-office run is less about opening-day firepower and more about holding screens. On day 14, the crime thriller added an estimated ₹3.75 crore net in India, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. That took its domestic total to around ₹332.50 crore.
A quiet Thursday, a visible milestone
Thursday’s figure was down about 42.5% from Wednesday’s ₹5.25 crore. For a film entering its third week, that is the expected rhythm: weekday footfall thins, and the real test is whether the third weekend can rebuild momentum.
Crossing ₹330 crore net still matters. It gives Drishyam 3 a cushion, and it makes the next target plain.
- Day 14 collection: ₹3.75 crore net (estimated)
- India total: ₹332.50 crore
- Wednesday-to-Thursday drop: 42.5%
- Occupancy: nearly 10% across 10,797 shows
- Next landmark: ₹350 crore
The third weekend will decide the ₹350-crore chase
If Drishyam 3 continues along its current line, the report suggests it could add another ₹20-25 crore over the weekend. That would leave it closing in on ₹350 crore. But the field is getting crowded. Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 released on October 15 and has already crossed the ₹50 crore mark on its opening day, according to the report. Friday adds Street Fighter, Prahaar, Nayyi Navelli and more releases to the mix.
For fans and box-office watchers alike, the next three days are the clearest signal. A strong hold keeps Drishyam 3 on the ₹350-crore track; a heavy loss of screens could stop it just short.
The franchise’s goodwill, and the reviews
Drishyam 3 brings back Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant, with Saurabh Shukla returning in a cameo. The film also has an endorsement from Mohanlal, who plays Georgekutty in the original Malayalam franchise. He said he was “truly impressed” with the way the team brought the “much loved journey to a befitting end”.
The Hindustan Times review was more measured: it found “enough drama and nostalgia” for the fans, but argued the finale asks for “a few too many things at face value”. The line between goodwill and critical caution is exactly why the hold matters more than the opening.
