Drishyam 3 crosses Rs 309 crore nett in 10 days

Ten days after release, Drishyam 3 has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark at the domestic box office with a second Sunday that delivered Ajay Devgn’s best tenth-day total yet. The third film in the franchise, directed by Abhishek Pathak, collected Rs 22.5 crore nett on day 10, according to trade figures cited by Filmibeat.

Ten days by the numbers

The second-Sunday collection lifted the Hindi film’s ten-day domestic nett total to Rs 309 crore, with the gross figure at Rs 370.8 crore. Overseas, it earned Rs 6 crore on the same day, taking the international cume to Rs 109 crore and the worldwide gross to Rs 479.8 crore.

  • Day 10 nett: Rs 22.5 crore
  • India nett total: Rs 309 crore
  • India gross: Rs 370.8 crore
  • Overseas total: Rs 109 crore
  • Worldwide gross: Rs 479.8 crore

A personal best, not just a milestone

The Rs 22.5 crore second Sunday edged past Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which collected Rs 22.02 crore on its tenth day. That makes Drishyam 3 Ajay Devgn’s highest 10th-day earner of his career.

Why this conclusion is different

The first two Hindi Drishyam films were official remakes of the Mohanlal-led Malayalam originals. This third instalment steps away from that template with a plot and climax of its own, a shift credited for keeping audiences curious. The film also brought back its core cast of Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and Rajat Kapoor, while adding Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj to the mix.

What the weekend signals

Holding above the Rs 20 crore mark on a tenth day is a strong sign for a Hindi title, even one built on a popular franchise. The second-Sunday push shows repeat viewing and family audiences are still turning up, rather than the film relying only on an opening burst. For an original-ending sequel, that is the harder test, and it is clearing it.

With ten days banked and Rs 479.8 crore gross worldwide, the next watchable marker is whether the film can push past the Rs 500 crore worldwide milestone in the coming days.
