Siddhant wraps Bolo Bolo Bolo UK shoot; 2027 release

Siddhant Chaturvedi has wrapped the United Kingdom schedule of Vikas Bahl’s upcoming film Bolo Bolo Bolo, the production team confirmed this week. The title, backed by Katha Studios and Vikas Bahl, is now positioned for a 2027 cinema release.

The wrap was marked with a group photograph featuring Siddhant, Alizeh, Jimmy Shergill, Mona Singh and other members of the unit. The production note read:

“Before the world found its rhythm, there was a beat waiting to be heard!”

It confirmed a 2027 cinema release.

A story rooted in 1990s Britain

Bolo Bolo Bolo is set in the 1990s, a period when the British Punjabi music scene was establishing a voice of its own. The film follows a generation of young musicians who brought together traditional Punjabi sounds and contemporary, bass-heavy beats.

That musical fusion is the engine of the story, but the film also reaches beyond it. Friendship, family, identity and belonging sit alongside the tracklist, making this a period drama as much as a music story.

Why the project stands out

Hindi cinema has often used Punjab as a setting, but a film that places the British Punjabi music movement at the centre is a more specific promise. For fans who know that era’s sound, it means the film is attempting to capture a cultural shift rather than simply attach songs to a plot.

For Siddhant, the schedule wrap is another signal that he is leaning into varied material. He first found wider attention with Gully Boy, and his upcoming slate now moves across genres:

  • KAALA — a period crime series directed by Abhishek Chaubey and backed by Excel Entertainment.
  • V. Shantaram — the biographical drama announced in 2025, with Tamannaah Bhatia.
  • Bolo Bolo Bolo — a music-led 1990s drama now headed for 2027.

The link with Vikas Bahl is also deepening. Siddhant and the director are attached to Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling, which features Wamiqa Gabbi and Jaya Bachchan. Reports have hinted at more collaborations, but no official announcement has been made.

For fans, the shape of the slate is as interesting as any single title. Siddhant is moving from a music-led period piece to a crime series and a biopic, which suggests he is choosing projects more for the world they build than for one kind of role.

What comes next

The UK leg is complete, so the logical next markers are further production updates, a first look or a teaser, and eventually the release-date push. No date for a trailer has been announced, but a 2027 release gives the team time to build the film’s musical world.

For now, this is a film to place on the 2027 watchlist, especially if 1990s British Punjabi music is part of your listening history.
