Drishyam 3 Hits ₹341.90 Crore Worldwide in 5 Days

Drishyam 3 has collected ₹341.90 crore worldwide in five days, almost matching Drishyam 2's lifetime haul, with Tanhaji and Singham Again next in its sights.

Drishyam 3 at ₹341.90 crore worldwide after 5 days

Five days into its run, Drishyam 3 is doing what few Hindi sequels manage: it is catching the previous film’s lifetime total while the first-week buzz is still alive. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the thriller has collected ₹341.90 crore worldwide.

The split tells the story. India has contributed ₹216.50 crore net from 82,299 shows, while overseas collections stand at ₹81.50 crore, including ₹9.50 crore on the first Tuesday. For a dialogue-led thriller rather than a special-effects event, that overseas number is the standout.

How it compares with Devgn’s own hits

Drishyam 2 concluded its worldwide run at about ₹342.31 crore in 2022. Drishyam 3, at ₹341.90 crore, has covered roughly 98.9% of that total in five days. It now needs only a small push to move ahead.

  • Drishyam 2 lifetime: ₹342.31 crore worldwide
  • Drishyam 3, day 5: ₹341.90 crore worldwide
  • Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior lifetime: around ₹361 crore worldwide
  • Singham Again lifetime: ₹372.41 crore worldwide

Those comparisons matter because they put the film’s momentum in context. Drishyam 3 is not only up against its own predecessor but also within striking distance of two larger Ajay Devgn vehicles.

The franchise’s commercial logic

Directed by Abhishek Pathak and produced by Panorama Studios and Star Studio18, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Jaideep Ahlawat, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav. It also offers a different ending from the Malayalam version directed by Jeethu Joseph.

The Hindustan Times review captured the mood around the film: it “has enough drama and nostalgia to keep the fans engaged,” even if the plot asks audiences to accept “a few too many things at face value.” Commercially, that fan connection is translating into repeat franchise interest.

For an industry watching mid-size films struggle against event titles, the fifth-day hold is the more important number than the opening. A thriller built on twists is staying in theatres and competing with bigger-budget action vehicles, which suggests audiences are still willing to choose story over scale.

What to watch next

For viewers, the practical takeaway is that the film remains in wide release, and the weekday collections will decide whether it can overtake Tanhaji and Singham Again. Keep an eye on the Tuesday and Wednesday numbers—if they stay steady, the lifetime targets could fall within days.
