November’s OTT roundup is out, and Hindi viewers have a crowded month ahead. MYVI’s monthly list brings back some of the biggest reality franchises and adds a darker, history-heavy set of originals. For Bollywood fans, this is a slate to plan around.
Reality franchises return in force
Bigg Boss Season 20 is back with Salman Khan as host. Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 15 returns with a fresh line-up of celebrity contestants taking on stunts, while Karan Johar hosts The Traitors Season 2, a game built on trust and deception. MTV Hustle Season 5 brings Badshah and a panel of judges back to spotlight India’s rising hip-hop talent.
The Bigg Boss franchise is spread across languages too: Nagarjuna fronts the Telugu edition, Vijay Sethupathi hosts the Tamil one, Mohanlal leads Malayalam, Kichcha Sudeep anchors Kannada, and Sourav Ganguly hosts Bigg Boss Bangla.
Hindi originals hit a darker note
- Student of the Year: After Dark: The St. Teresa’s competition takes a sinister turn after a mysterious death.
- Queen: Neeti is pulled into a powerful political family after betrayal and trauma.
- The Revolutionaries: A period drama based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s book, about young freedom fighters who chose armed resistance against British rule.
- Ghamasaan: A cat-and-mouse drama set in the Hindi heartland.
- Operation Safed Sagar: The Indian Air Force’s Golden Arrows squadron during the Kargil War.
- 108 Base Hospital Uri: Indian Army surgeons on the front lines of a war zone.
Also on the list: Dilwali Diwali, a family drama around Diwali, and Bhojpuri Bawaal, which spotlights Bhojpuri entertainment stars.
Live sport fills the gaps
Sports fans get plenty too. India’s men’s cricket team visits Sri Lanka for two Test matches, streaming on SonyLIV. The broader lineup includes the US Open, Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and WWE, which streams live on Netflix in India.
What this means for your watchlist
The November slate leans on returning franchises and familiar hosts, which makes it easy to build a watchlist around big reality shows first. But the original Hindi slate is where the month feels different: war, politics and revolution outnumber light family fare. If you usually skip the darker titles, this is a good month to sample one.
