Kaali Kheti, the rural horror that promised to bring Jackie Shroff and Sharad Kelkar to cinemas in late October, has shifted. The film will now open on November 20, 2026, BlackCanvas Studio confirmed while unveiling new character posters.
The announcement moves the title from its earlier date of October 23. For fans, the update comes with a trade-off: a longer wait, but also a clearer first look at the two leads in the film’s village setting.
New posters, locked mystery
The fresh stills introduce Shroff and Kelkar in the rural world of Kaali Kheti, but the makers have kept the larger story under wraps. The posters do not spell out who the characters are or how they connect to the central secret.
The film is written and directed by Haris Imtiyaz Khan and produced by Sana Khan under BlackCanvas Studio. It is set against a rural backdrop and combines family, legacy and buried truths with a horror narrative.
Who is on board
Alongside the two leads, Kaali Kheti features Neha Sargam, Virendra Saxena and Shaji Choudhary in pivotal roles. With no full trailer released yet, the character posters are currently the clearest signal of the film’s tone and setting.
What the shift changes
For audiences, the new date means waiting roughly four weeks beyond the original plan. The silver lining is that the campaign now has a fresh reveal in the form of character posters, and the film is positioned for the second half of November.
The key updates to track:
- Original date: October 23
- New date: November 20, 2026
- Reveal used: Character posters, with plot still hidden
The makers have not shared a reason for the postponement. The announcement focuses on the revised date and the new look, leaving questions about the characters and plot open for the next stage of promotion.
With the revised date confirmed, Kaali Kheti is now set for a November 20, 2026 theatrical release.
