Ramayana Part One has crossed the one-lakh mark in advance ticket sales, but its early pace is well below the bar set by Dhurandhar The Revenge.
Since the Hindi advance window opened on Dussehra, the Nitesh Tiwari-directed epic has sold around 1.36 lakh tickets in four days, including 87,000 across the major cinema chains. The gross from those sales stands at ₹7.74 crore.
A long window, a slower start
The Hindi version opened for advance booking 15 days before the film’s November 5 release, ahead of Diwali. Around 1,000 screens are open so far, with Hindi shows reporting 15-20% occupancy in most major cities.
The Kannada version has opened in fewer than 100 screens, yet some centres are already seeing up to 72% occupancy for morning shows. Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam pre-sales are still to open fully, pending clarity with cinema chains.
The Dhurandhar 2 comparison
Dhurandhar The Revenge opened paid-preview advance sales almost two weeks before release and sold nearly 1.4 lakh tickets in its first 24 hours, including 90,000 in major chains. Ramayana needed four days to reach a similar number.
That gap matters because Dhurandhar 2 turned its early demand into ₹40 crore from paid previews alone, ₹52 crore net in advance bookings for opening day, and more than ₹200 crore in worldwide pre-sales before release.
