October 23 Releases: 6 Hindi Films Hit Theatres

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan lead Udta Teer, and five more Hindi films open on October 23. Here's how to pick your weekend watch.

Six Hindi films arrive on October 23

Friday, 23 October 2026 belongs to the Hindi film fan who wants options. Six Hindi releases share the date, spanning a star-led spy comedy, a psychological romance, a school-reunion story, an action-romance, a cricket-inspired drama and a Goa-set family film. English releases—including Clayface in North America—and regional titles widen the slate, but availability will change from city to city, so checking local listings before booking is essential.

The Hindi slate at a glance

  • Udta Teer: Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan headline Aakash Kaushik’s spy comedy, with Sachin–Jigar’s music and producers including Karan Johar and Guneet Monga Kapoor.
  • Tu Hai Meri Kiran: Sonakshi Sinha plays writer Kiran Mittal; her connect with Zaheer Iqbal’s Samar turns from affection into obsession in Karan Rawal’s psychological drama.
  • Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar: Sparsh Walia, Alisha Chopra, Kunal Vaid and Sargun Kaur Luthra star in Anuj Saini’s Mussoorie school-reunion romance about first love and second chances.
  • Tum Mere Ho: Gurmeet Choudhary and Isha Malviya lead Ashish Panda’s blend of romance, drama and adventure as a couple’s commitment is tested.
  • Doosra: Abhinay Deo’s cricket-inspired drama follows Tara, a girl from a conservative Rajasthani family, and draws on India’s 2002 NatWest final against England.
  • Little Thomas: Kaushal Oza’s Goa-set early-1990s family story stars Gulshan Devaiah and Rasika Dugal, centred on seven-year-old Thomas, who wants a younger sibling.

Pick a lane if you can only see one

With six Hindi titles on the same day, the weekend feels like a split-screen rather than a single-event release. The smart move is to choose by mood rather than by star power alone.

For big-star fun and comic action, Udta Teer is the widest commercial play. For something darker, Tu Hai Meri Kiran is a relationship thriller about emotional control. For family audiences, Little Thomas and Doosra offer gentler hooks—one a child’s wish for a sibling, the other a young girl’s cricket dream tied to a landmark match.

Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar is the nostalgia pick for younger viewers, while Tum Mere Ho leans into romance with an action edge.

Beyond the Hindi releases

On the English front, Clayface—directed by James Watkins from a story by Mike Flanagan—opens in North America on October 23 after an international start on October 21. It stars Tom Rhys Harries, Naomi Ackie and David Dencik. Helen Mirren leads A Talent for Murder, adapted from Joanna Murray-Smith’s play Switzerland, and Taika Waititi’s Klara and the Sun brings Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams to Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel. A Guy Moshe action film with Zachary Levi and Liam Neeson is also listed among the date’s English titles.

Regional films are in the mix as well, though their Hindi-market availability may be limited. The practical rule for this Friday is simple: check showtimes first, and keep an eye on word of mouth by Saturday if you are deciding between two titles.
